simple saturday

Saturdays lately have been the day where I try to catch up. I try not to schedule anything those days so that I can maximize how much I accomplish... hoping that my sabbath will be magically restful. And today, much like many other Saturdays, I was unsuccessful in getting everything accomplished that I wanted to.

The girls got back from their pre-camp campout, which they had fun at. hot tub, wasps, early rising, yummy food, epic scripture adventure hike, and long car rides.

sally in the tree is everything. I can't not laugh when I look at this picture.

My mom took Roger to his piano recital, which was adorable. I love that he loves his piano teacher and learning piano. I can't really relate because I never felt that way, but it makes my heart happy to see him enjoy music and learn good things.

I also did all my grocery shopping, caught up on the dishes, helped kids with things here and there, got some homework done, got the car washed and vacuumed, bathed the little people, took Evelynn to a church dance, and tried to get the laundry caught up.

and I managed to be mindful of what I put in my body. it was challenging. but hopefully, it pays off.

now my bed is still a mess so I am sleepin' on the couch. g'night.
