purpose statement
I often ask myself WHY I blog. WHY share? Is it worth it? What is the point?
I do love writing and documenting. I love processing. I love feedback from people and connecting.
But there are risks, too. Not just "cyber" risks, but also risks of being vulnerable. Risks of making my life look too magical, or instead making it a negative place where I dump all my dark thoughts. Risks of people not wanting me to share my story because they are part of it.
There are possibilities. I might make a difference. I might inspire others. I might be a light in the world.
Once I put it out there... who knows.
but the other day, when I was praying about my silly little blog, I found an answer in the title page of the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. the man who abridged the book said that it was a record of the dealings of the Lord. and it struck me. That is what I want this blog to be. A record of God's dealings with me. A history of my people. A testimony and a witness of God's goodness and mercy in my life.
so whenever I am doubting myself and this space, I want to remember that. Hopefully, I stay true to that cause and focus my sharing accordingly. But if I ever feel prompted by God to stop, I hope I do that, too.
