not all sunshine and roses

something felt off all day today. I just felt anxiety and uneasiness.

woke up without an alarm at 4am and decided to go with it.
studied. made breakfast with Richard's help.
devotional. loved hearing six of my kids read the scriptures.
 chores.
got the boys off to school on time. then ran some errands.

took Richard to school and then ran another errand.
came home and did some reading with James, then did some science together. All about the moon, to be exact. Watching this kid learn is a real treat and brings delight to my heart. the activity at the end was to make a cow jump over the moon by creating a catapult. He thought it was brilliant.

went on a run with Evelynn.
I went through the leftovers (I have a thing with leftovers. trying to work on them) and then ate lunch.
picked up, Richard.
helped the girls pick and practice a song for their musical number.
Gladys was the ring leader and built forts in the living room. all the little people were elated to play and do as she commanded. her element.
Evelynn left for the mall with some friends.
tried to do laundry. but... no luck because the machine will not unlock. my wet clothes are stuck in there... tried everything. to no avail.

picked up, Roger.
came home overwhelmed and upset.
forced everyone to clean the house.
did the disgusting dishes.
picked up Evelynn and her friends and took them all home. it was very awkward.
She bought chopsticks at the mall and tape-measure gum. Her friends got chopsticks, too, and dippin' dots. She texted me several times begging for a puppy from the pet shop. its name was Pizza.

once home we loaded up for Taco Tuesday night at the neighbor's. It's mostly church people.
some things went smoothly. others did not. I liked that my kids mostly did the buddy system to help make plates and listened to load up when I told them to. I also liked talking to Molly. She is nice.

once home, some finished up homework. most went to bed.
I did some more dishes.
Jeff called. we talked for hours. we miss each other.

planned out tomorrow. avoiding homework and other tasks.
goodnight.
